Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Then consider taking a Canadian holiday!

There is no other country quite like Canada anywhere in the world. From the green forests of the westernmost parts of Canada, across the stunning Rocky Mountains, past the wide open plains, all the way to the historic eastern parts of Canada, there truly is something for everyone when taking a holiday in Canada.

When you consider there are ten different provinces with a huge array of cultural and natural attractions, it's no wonder that Canada is one of the most popular holiday destinations. This does not mean it is crowded by any means, however, because this country is large and diverse enough to host everyone who wants to come for a visit with ease.

The culture of Canada can only be described as diverse. Where else can you enjoy amazing regional festivals like the Summer Solstice Festival in remote Yellowknife? Or the world famous winter carnival called Carnaval de Quebec held every year in Quebec City? There are also over 1,700 fantastic museums all across Canada, tracing everything from the history of French-speaking Quebec to the geology of the rugged Rocky Mountains to the incredible culture of the native Inuit peoples.

Because of the wide variety of terrain and climate regions in Canada, there are many, many outdoor adventures available. For instance, you can go skiing in the Laurentian Mountains of eastern Canada or the world famous ski areas Blackcomb and Whistler in the magnificent Canadian Rockies. If something smaller is more to your liking, there are a number of delightful smaller ski and winter sport resorts in places like Lake Louise or Grouse Mountain.

If camping or fishing are more your style, there is no shortage of opportunities to do both of these things all across Canada. There are stunning national parks, such as Jasper and Banff, as well as rugged Atlantic Ocean areas with scenic campgrounds, great ocean fishing, and some of the most beautiful vistas anywhere on Earth. If you want to experience the historic fishing villages of Canada's Atlantic coast there are literally hundreds of them all up and down the coastline. Stay at a lovely bed and breakfast in Lunenburg, charter a fishing tour out of Wedgeport, or simply wander through the town of Yarmouth and get to know some of the local culture and customs. These scenic coastal seaports have some of the finest seafood restaurants in the world, where you will find fresh food and warm, home style service.

For some people, the idea of getting out into the rugged untamed areas of northern Canada is exciting and appealing. You can trace the original trail of the Klondike Gold Rush from Dawson City, far to the north of the rugged outpost capital city of Whitehorse. Or you can trek out into the remote Northern Territories to fish, hunt, or simply take some of the most beautiful pictures you could ever imagine. If you choose to venture in to the Northern Territories, however, be prepared for a bit of extra effort to get where you're going because most of them require driving over primitive roads in four wheel drive vehicles. The best choice for most people is to hire a professional guide service that can provide you with all of the gear and guidance you need to be safe and have tons of fun.

One of the most popular ways to see Canada is the VIA Rail system, one of the world's most scenic and economical travel options. Much like the European rail system, VIA Rail offers a number of different passes that allow you to travel throughout Canada, stopping as often as you like and seeing some of the most stunning landscapes anywhere.

Whether you want the remote experience of the Northern Territories, the cultural history of Quebec, the sea-faring traditions of Nova Scotia, the mountain spectacle of the Canadian Rockies, or nearly any other kind of adventure you can imagine, Canada is surely the best place to take your next holiday.
